LEARN ABOUT HARDWOOD FLOORING

Due to High Demand Check Stats of all Flooring Products!

Engineered hardwood is made by layering a thin strip of natural wood over a base of composite plywood. It’s a true hardwood floor and raises the resale value of your home accordingly.

Engineered hardwood doesn’t have the longevity of solid hardwood, but it’s a fantastic option for home or business owners who are looking for the appearance of real wood and the easy-to-manage practicality of a composite surface. All of the beauty, less of the hard work.

WHY WE LOVE ENGINEERED HARDWOOD

Engineered floors can be placed in more rooms of your home than traditional hardwood, because unlike solid wood, the engineered plywood base layer resists warping from moisture. This makes it a viable option for bathrooms, basements, restaurants and even kitchens, if you’re careful with the sink.

If you want the look of true hardwood at a more affordable price tag, engineered woods are an excellent choice. They last for decades and look just as stunning as solid hardwood, at a budget-friendly cost.

HOW DURABLE IS HARDWOOD FLOORING?

Engineered floors are constructed from the hardest of hardwoods—Birch, Maple, Walnut, as well as some South American and Indonesian trees. These sturdier materials help your floor wear better over time. Softer varieties like Pine or Cedar aren’t used as engineered hardwoods.

Because engineered floors use only a thin slice of natural wood, they can only be sanded down 4 to 5 times before the wood layer wears away and the floors must be replaced. That said, engineered hardwood still has a lifespan of 60 to 80 years with proper maintenance.

HARDWOOD ALLERGEN CONCERNS

Hard surfaces like vinyl, laminate and hardwood provide optimal insurance against harboring allergens in your home. These solid flooring types don’t invite dust mites or mold growth like carpet can and are the easiest to keep clean.

With regular sweeping, vacuuming and mopping, you can easily keep pollen, pet dander and other irritants at bay.
